The San Francisco Center for the Book (SFCB) is a non-profit organization founded in 1996 by Mary Austin and Kathleen Burch in San Francisco, California in the United States. This project was inspired and dedicated to the non-profit book exchange event of SFCB. The event allows people to exchange book physically at a certain time and place. The books will be given out to people who are interested or children in need. To broaden the book community and enahnce the activities of it, the project was rebranded seperated from the organization and allows the users have online access to the books and other book bookworms.

Conventional Reasons to Read

A study by the National Endowment for the Arts found that people who regularly read are much more likely to be engaged civically and culturally. Which means reading actually makes you win at life. And there are so many other benefits:

1. Keeps your brain young & sharp.
2. Reading a book reduces stress, and puts you in a better mood.
3. Reading can help you save cash.
4. People who read are more likely to vote, exercise, and be more cultural.

Unconventional Reason

Reading actually does make you seem sexier, especially to women.

A study found that intelligence—even just perceived intelligence—is one of the most attractive qualities to women. So, keep your nose in a book and you’ll have people falling over themselves to try and distract you!
